Not So Merry Christmas

December 25 is the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, this day must be celebrated with smile in our hearts but in our case it's kinda opposite. On the last day of Simbang Gabi or nine mornings in english, my mom decided to include my sister and grandmother to the mass since it is the last.

Originally, only me and my mom who consistently attends the mass because my grandma is already old to go there. It's so cold outside. After we arrived in our house, I ask of the money for the cupcakes we ordered to Ate Jeandy. But mom still don't have money yet due to some financial problems so she goes to grandma and ask for some amount of money to be debt. But grandma refuses because she thinks that mom won't pay her as what she did many times. Mom get disappointed and unintentionally said that she must go to my Aunt Gemma and live there for good. Maybe because she's really hurt. So only the three of us celebrated the occasion. I cried many tears because my grandma is always there for me ever since I was a baby. I don't know if I can carry this. :(

Typhoon Sendong

Maybe it's very familiar for you what happened in our hometown, Iligan City. Last, December 17, 12:30 am, a typhoon visits us with a bang. According to the authorized persons almost 25 barangays are affected of the said calamity. Cagayan de Oro, Dumaguete, Negros Occidental and Iligan is his victims. Many people died and hurt in that incident. This Christmas is very blue for them. I thank God because we're so blessed that the flash flood doesn't exist in our house. Because of this, we decided to donate some of our used clothes to those people who are affected and I went to school to help in the kitchen to cook for their food. This is my only way to help them. This is just so little compared to their homeless situation and losing their loved ones. It's better to give than to receive. :')

Foods for Sale

If you don't know we have a sari-sari store beside our house. It is not so saleable in our area due to numerous competitors. To help my mom in our business aside from spending my free time to watch over our mini store, I also sell it to school. My mom dissuaded me to do so but I'm determined.

At first, I was hesitant of the reactions of my classmates. I'm afraid they will judge me but thank God they understand the situation. It's so fulfilling to know that when I arrived at school, my classmates directly ask me if I brought my tindahan with me. Hahaha! This made me smile. This inspires me to bring their favorite foods along with me so that they will not go far anymore to buy.

Seriously, it's not about the money. It's about the feeling of needness I never been experience to that person I loveD before.

10 Tips on How to Move on

Ouch! Tinamaan ako. But it's okay I'm not bitter anymore. This is an eye-opener for the girls/boys out there who have difficulties in moving on. Enjoy life! ^^,

English 4

This semester we have a subject called Introduction to Literature or Eng 4 in short. This covers short stories, poems, novels and etc. In line with this, our teacher divided us into 7 groups and I belong to the 4th group. My co-members are Paolo, Catcat, Loysa and MM. We picked Paolo to be our leader despite his disapproval and insisting that it's better to be me. They were united to choose me as Myop in the story even if I disagree.

On the next day, Phillip approached me to inform that he's part of our group. What a coincidence! To all the groups, our teacher decided to put him in ours.

Well, as my blog continues, I suggested that we don't act live in front of our classmates instead we shoot it. The short story assigned to us is "The Flowers" by Alice Walker. Its main focus is more about nature so we have to find a good place to fit for the video.

Monday morning, we go to City Hall via Paolo's car. I brought the skirt of my sister as a costume for Myop. Poyot and Zearyne joined us that time. After how many scenes taken, we realized that there's something lacking. We don't have river, pigs and chickens. So we go to Golfcourse where I held my birthday photoshoot.

At last, we have finished our video. I'm so hungry and thirsty. Thank God Catcat offered us to their home to have lunch. Their house is very near to where we are. After arriving their, longganisa and canton is served how many minutes later. That's not yet the end. We go in our separate ways with boongon in our bags. Catcat's mother let us bring home each the said fruit courtesy by their neighbor Anti Gingging. I had fun though it's tiring to my part but that day was very unforgettable. :)
